What we do
>Environment
All factors influencing the life of organisms,
including social and
physical conditions.
Synergy<
The working together of two or more organizations,
people, or things,
especially when the result is greater
than the sum of their individual
efforts or capabilities.
Since
2003 EnviroSynergy, as a 100% volunteer organization, has engaged in
environmental, social, economic, and humanitarian activities linked to
the betterment of the human condition. These activities generally
benefit the poor, the underprivileged, and the underrepresented
primarily in developing nations and include: environmental education;
scientific research and monitoring; community development/strengthening;
humanitarian health and relief activities; the promotion of
environmentally friendly, economically appropriate technologies; and the
protection of biodiversity.
Engaging all levels of society (individuals, schools, businesses,
communities, associations, minority groups, decision makers, etc.) these
activities are used to provide information and raise awareness of the
need to protect and ensure sustainable management of our environment.
Education/sensitization activities are not only focused on the transfer
of scientific environmental information, but also social, economic, and
health issues and their relationship to the environment. This includes
the preparation of culturally appropriate materials and activities and
is undertaken through conferences, workshops, classes, discussion
groups, and other appropriate methods.
The
provision of humanitarian relief in the form of health services and the
distribution of humanitarian aid (food, medicine, clothes, etc.) assists
poor and underprivileged communities. EnviroSynergy also engages in
training projects and assists individuals and groups in the assessment
of community needs and capabilities, as well as project development and
management. Additionally, through association building, reinforcement
of community structures, conflict resolution, networking and coalition
building, and other similar activities it strengthens communities and
provides them with the knowledge needed to make informed decisions
related to their well-being. Through this development/strengthening of
the capacities of individuals and organizations, primarily in developing
nations, as well as the delivery of humanitarian relief, EnviroSynergy
provides needed support as they begin to manage and solve their own
problems.

With the Haiti earthquake on January
12, 2010 EnviroSynergy is focusing most of its resources on
post-earthquake recovery efforts and especially on capacity building,
education, environmental rehabilitation, and the development
of alternative income generating activities.
